Exciting Opportunity: Health and Safety Advisor in Northern Ireland

Join our client, a reputable organisation committed to maintaining the highest standards of safety and compliance within the construction industry. This is a permanent role based in the heart of Northern Ireland.

Responsibilities:

• Develop, implement, and monitor health and safety policies and procedures in accordance with UK standards and regulations.
• Conduct risk assessments and site inspections to ensure ongoing safety compliance across multiple construction sites.
• Provide expert advice and support to project teams on safety matters to minimise risks and promote a safety-first culture.
• Investigate accidents or incidents and compile detailed reports outlining causes and preventative measures.
• Deliver safety training sessions and inductions to staff and contractors.
• Ensure all health and safety documentation is maintained accurately and up to date.
• Liaise with external regulatory bodies during inspections and audits.
• Keep abreast of industry best practices and legislative changes relevant to construction health and safety.

Required Qualifications and Experience:

• Proven experience as a Health and Safety Advisor within the construction sector.
• Relevant certifications such as NEBOSH General Certificate or equivalent.
• Strong understanding of UK health and safety legislation and standards.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.
• Ability to conduct site inspections and risk assessments effectively.
• Proactive approach to safety management and problem-solving skills.
• Flexibility to travel between sites within Northern Ireland as required.
