Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, and monitor health and safety policies and procedures in accordance with UK standards and regulations.
- Conduct risk assessments and site inspections to ensure ongoing safety compliance across multiple construction sites.
- Provide expert advice and support to project teams on safety matters to minimise risks and promote a safety-first culture.
- Investigate accidents or incidents and compile detailed reports outlining causes and preventative measures.
- Deliver safety training sessions and inductions to staff and contractors.
- Ensure all health and safety documentation is maintained accurately and up to date.
- Liaise with external regulatory bodies during inspections and audits.
- Keep abreast of industry best practices and legislative changes relevant to construction health and safety.
Required Qualifications and Experience:
- Proven experience as a Health and Safety Advisor within the construction sector.
- Relevant certifications such as NEBOSH General Certificate or equivalent.
- Strong understanding of UK health and safety legislation and standards.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
- Ability to conduct site inspections and risk assessments effectively.
- Proactive approach to safety management and problem-solving skills.
- Flexibility to travel between sites within Northern Ireland as required.
